Introduction

Surah Kahf is the 18th Surah in the Quran which is a Mecci Surah.It is proved from the Hadith that the believer who remembers the Surah Kahf first ten verses will be saved from the troubles of Dajjal.

Surah Kahf First Ten Verses

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجًا (1)

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī anzala ʿalā ʿabdihī al-kitāba wa lam yajʿal lahu ʿiwajā (1)

قَيِّمًا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًا شَدِيدًا مِّن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا (2)

Qayyiman liyundhira ba’san shadīdā min ladunhu wa yubashshira al-mu’minīna alladhīna yaʿmalūna aṣ-ṣāliḥāti anna lahum ajran ḥasanā (2)

مَّاكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا (3)

Mākithīna fīhi abadā (3)

وَيُنذِرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا (4)

Wa yundhira alladhīna qālū ittakhadha Allāhu waladā (4)

مَّا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِآبَائِهِمْ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا (5)

Mā lahum bihi min ʿilmin wa lā li-ābā’ihim kaburat kalimatan takhruju min afwāhihim in yaqūlūna illā kadhibā (5)

فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا (6)

Fa-laʿallaka bākhʿun nafsaka ʿalā āthārihim in lam yu’minū bihādhā al-ḥadīthi asafā (6)

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا (7)

Innā jaʿalnā mā ʿalā al-arḍi zīnatan lahā li-nabluwahum ayyuhum aḥsanu ʿamalā (7)

وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا (8)

Wa innā la-jāʿilūna mā ʿalayhā ṣaʿīdan juruzā (8)

أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَبًا (9)

Am ḥasibta anna aṣḥāba al-kahfi wa ar-raqīmi kānū min āyātinā ʿajabā (9)

إِذْ أَوَى الْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى الْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا (10)

Idh awā al-fityatu ilā al-kahfi faqālū rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmatan wa hayyi’ lanā min amrinā rashadā (10)

When to Read Surah Kahf First Ten Verses On Friday ?

There is great virtue in reciting that verse before Surah Kahf First Ten Verses. The best time to read them is Jumuah (Friday). The first ten verses of Surah Kahf can be recited at any time from the night of Jumuah, which starts from Thursday Maghrib, till Friday Maghrib.

Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) has said that whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Kahf will be safe from the attacks of Dajjal. That’s why it is very beneficial to recite this verse and recite it regularly.
